Faith, Hope and Recovery support groups actively engage people by teaching skills and offering hope that will strengthen them through difficult times when so many of us lose our faith.
Faith, Hope and Recovery is for everyone: those with faith and those with no faith. Judeo-Christian values are foundational. However, additional wisdom texts are drawn from other faiths and other sources of inspiration.
At each gathering, there is a familiar pattern that creates a sense of comfort and predictability.
"We engage in spiritual practices that develop new habits of the heart."
People affected by mental illness may feel exhausted, despairing, defeated and hopeless. FHR creates a safe space for sharing concerns, offers new hope for the future, deepens their faith in the gathered community and provides rest for their souls.
Some of the themes we explore:
Come to me, all you who are weary and carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest.
Note: FHR support groups are available for Christian support groups as well.
